EU & UK COVID-19 TRAVEL QUESTIONS ANSWERED
What you need as a US citizen before travel:
1-Your full vaccination records documenting 2 vaccine shots (date of travel must be at least 2 weeks after your last vaccine dose) A booster shot may be required as well depending on your destination.
2-A negative PCR test for each traveler taken no more than 48hrs prior to arrival. *Please note, the US is experiencing test shortages and you must book your test appointment well in advance- plan accordingly*
3-You will need to check and recheck the travel requirements/restrictions for each of your destinations prior to travel. Each country makes changes to their regulations frequently and it is important you stay up to date with the latest information by checking the links provided below, as well as checking directly with your airline.
What you need to return to the US:
1-You will need a negative PCR or rapid Covid test in order to return home. You have 2 options for this:
*You can obtain a covid test at a local pharmacy near your hotel the day before your departure flight. Your hotel concierge or reception will direct you to the nearest testing facility. All travelers MUST bring their passports to provide to the pharmacist.
*You can prepurchase “at home” tests from EMed and take them along with you on your trip to be completed the day before your return flight. These must be taken via video call according to the specific instructions provided by EMed. VaPiano Travel cannot assist with these tests. *YOU MUST FIRST CHECK WITH YOUR AIRLINE AND CONFIRM ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TESTS*
